Are these SAT Subject Test books good?

So, I already have a couple of books for the Subject Tests, and I'd like to know if they will be helpful. I've browsed through the net and found mixed reviews, so....yeah. I'm aiming for 800s, or 780+ at least, so please keep that in mind.

Physics- Kaplan SAT Subject Test: Physics 2011-2012
Chemistry- Kaplan SAT Subject Test: Chemistry 2013-2014
Biology- Barron's SAT Subject Test Biology E/M 4th Edition
Mathematics Level 2- Barron's SAT Subject Test Math Level 2 10th Edition

Now, I want opinions from people have actually given the test, or know people who have done so. And don't write "Kaplan books are waaaay easier than the actual tests" because I've heard a lot of that :P
Anyway, if there are better substitutes, please suggest them (but not Barron's for Physics, I'd like a high score, but not a death wish for overprep). If you can suggest companions too, that would be great!

Hello?

BUMP BUMP BUMP.
…BUMP!

For the Physics, I use Barrons and I really found it helpful and well-written. Some people recommend Cracking the SAT. You can search online and see these threads
http://collegeprepfaq.com/sat-ii-subject-tests</a> And http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-subject-tests-preparation/1143919-what-sat-physics-and-math-level-2-books-should-i-get-sat-subject-test-book-reviews-p1.html</a></p>

For Math, I use Barrons as will. It is really inordinately difficult, and makes me run out of time almost always. You ask in the October test thread

And what calculator do you use for Math Level 2?

Bump, bump.
BUMP.

Hola! Que pasa?
I have no idea what that means, but BUMP.

Another bump for the day.

My son used Kaplan and Barrons for all of these tests. He got 760’s on all these tests last year as a junior, taking Physics this year. He also got all 5’s on the AP exams, so maybe it would also help to get the " get a 5 " books for AP exams, cause I got all of those for his exams, and IF you study, you should get a great score.

Okay, thanks a lot!

I took Chem and Math in June and for both I used Barron’s. I had heard that Barron’s was a lot harder than the actual test so I borrowed Kaplan’s Chem from my friend and took a practice in that. I thought the results were a lot more accurate from Kaplans. For Math, Barron’s was a bit ridiculous. I probably averaged 650-700 on the practices but I ended up scoring an 800 just from my school knowledge (I had just taken Precalc).

I personally really dislike Barron’s. As commonly known, the tests are much harder than usual. I find that this gives me much more stress than a normal test does. Then when I tried to use the book for reviewing concepts I didn’t learn (skipped precalc) or review, I found that the content was terrible and I ended up just looking up youtube videos. For reference, I got a 640 and a 670 on the Barron’s tests, but I took one out of the official SAT II book with a released test and scored an 800, along with two 790s on McGraw-Hill’s tests. I’m taking it this Saturday.

Okay, so you basically looked up YouTube. Could you post the links of some of the videos?

So Kaplan’s Chemistry is okay for someone who wants a 780+, right?

Yes Kaplan’s is definitely good and a very similar level to the actual test.

Okay, thanks!
