Im going to take math 1… I have grubers 2400 hould i just use that for math or should i get barrons for it? Is math 1 the same as the regular sat?

Incredibly helpful! When I found this, I felt like I’d found a treasure chest! Thank you so much! Writing World History this June and Literature next October. God help me. Good Luck to whoever is writing a test! :D

Biology E or M Subject Test Question: Can someone tell me how accurate the Sparknotes practice tests are from experience? I have read things saying they are spot on to completely of the mark, is there any general consensus?
Thanks!

may 2012 us history is very hard.

Does anyone know if the Rea Crash Course: AP US History is any good for the SAT II: US History?

@Sophia3 Last year I read Amsco and Princeton Review (AP) for APUSH. I took the SAT II the day after the AP. I got a 4 and a 790. It seems that the consensus on CC is that Amsco is God for all tests of US History. I never read REA so I don’t know if it’s any good.

Is Princeton Review still the best for Biology M? Anybody take the test recently with a different recommendation?

I am taking it in a little less than a month, Barrons is really good for Biology M!

I read that at the time you thought the Barron’s SAT U.S. History Guide had overly hard practice tests. Is this still the case with the most recent edition?
Thanks!

What do the letters in parenthesis stand for?
Like “Barron’s (A, C, D)” that’s recommended for Spanish with listening?

There’s a key right above the recs pertaining to each letter.

Right. Awkward. Thanks :)

This was very useful, thanks! :)

Thanks…but several books are for one subject, could someone scan and suggest one among those as time is running short.

Does anyone one know if there any other books for Chinese w/ Listening?

And can someone fill in something for Japanese w/ Listening?

If not, I was also wondering why there were little to none books for these subjects.

Man where is barrons for Bio M? I’l add my own comments when I get my score back. Barrons is so much better than PR. The praise in PR is really misleading for Bio.

Can someone tell me if studying Cliffs AP for Biology E/M would be good? I saw a few people recommending this book in the SAT 2 thread (not AP thread just to make clear), so I was wondering. I did some research and could see that Cliffs AP received wide acclaim from students. So should we buy this book for SAT 2 Bio?

Long story short, I bought Barron’s Sat II Math 2 prep book from 2008. In retrospect, it was stupid of me, plus it was pretty expensive.
Problem is now, should I get a 2013 Barron’s SAT II Math 2?
I’ve been told that the test changes every year and that using the one from 2008 is way too “irrelevant” and “unhelpful”?

HELP??!

The test does not change every year.

I have both the 2008 and new Barron’s Math 2. There is very little difference. The new one does a little better job at explaining equations for conics but that’s about it. Almost no difference content wise.

Did anyone use the Princeton Review book for the Sat math 2? I have one month until may and i don’t know if I should jump right to the Barrons book if I am NOT a confident math student (although I have taken calc and all)… thoughts???

Should I use Barron’s for Chem and Biology? I have very elementary knowledge regarding Chemistry, my Biology is probably better. Also, I am self-studying - is it good enough?
