List your "Hidden Gem" that is NOT a common name

St. Lawrence University (NY)

Cal Lutheran U. in Thousand Oaks…

Yes…my daughter is attending next fall. We have visited this school several times. Each time we are more impressed. We also know a student who has attended and is graduating this year. Definately our hidden gem.

York College of Pennsylvania…

My niece is attending next fall. Check out the tuition for this private school !!

I’ve been impressed by quite a few people out of Marquette University in Milwaukee. It never gets mentioned here on CC, but I think a lot of bright Chicago and Milwaukee area kids wind up there and do very well.

Another name that never seems to pop up on CC, but whose grads seem to do well “in real life,” is Purdue.

Bryant University in Smithfield, RI. Stunning modern campus 10 mins from Providence and 45 mins from Boston. Excellent business school, across the street from major Fidelity Investments office (think internship/job). Significant feeder to Big 4 accounting/consulting firms, major banks, insurers, and other businesses. Business legend Jack Welch, former CEO of GE, has famously said some of the best execs he has ever worked with went to schools like Bryant.

Why are people listing Davidson as a “little known gem.” It is ranked 11th on the US news LACs and has a very low acceptance rate. Clearly, many people already know about it.

Bunny 2015, I was really struck when we visited Denison this summer, in central Ohio, how diverse the student body was. We were there on moving in day and it was great to see. My son didn’t connect with the school, but i will consider it again for son #2, who did like it.
This is such a great thread, was hoping for more of this when I started reading these forums many months ago.
Also, I second Wheaton college. My niece had a wonderful experience there.
