Listing an activity you only participate in once a year?

<p>This past year I volunteered at Special Olympics. I was not able to put much time into it due to 30 hr work weeks, president of a club, sick mother, many APs etc. I went to a few quick meetings before and then volunteered in the public relations section for an entire day (8 hrs?). I would like to put this as an activity because it was a great experience but I'm not sure if it's worth it. How would I even list it? Like 1 weeks a year, 8 hrs a week? I plan to do it this coming year too. </p>

<p>Also the company I'm interning with this summer has a 3 day event in October that I will be volunteering at. Should I list this as it's own activity too?</p>

<p>Both activities are important to my app i think because for special Olympics I was in public relations which is my intended career and the event in October is for cancer which my mom has and I have a bunch of background in.</p>

<p>What does it add to your application that is not already there? I’m sure you have other clubs and activities with more substantial contributions to your application in the same areas. Make sure the most important things show up and don’t just get buried in everything else that is insignificant. If you think it adds something substantial, add it. If not, don’t.</p>
