Living In 2 States... Legal or Not?

So I have recently been searching through Kentucky colleges ( Louisville, Uk, etc. ) and I really liked Uk. The only thing is that the difference between in state and out of state cost of attendence is about $9,500 on average.

In-State: 22,000 ( rounded )
Out of State: 31,500 ( rounded )

Heres the thing, Im currently living in Ohio, but me and my family have a house down in Kentucky aswell. Would it be illegal if I put my Kentucky home address to UK to pay less money?

I posted this like 30 minutes ago, but I think it got deleted. If thats the case can I know why.

Thanks!

Each public college and university posts its residence requirements right on its website. If you can’t find it there, call and ask.

Sometimes it is possible to claim residence in more than one state, however usually it isn’t. Most often a student’s residence for tuition and fees is the state where the family maintains its permanent home. Not the state where a second or vacation home is.

Don’t you think when they get a transcript from an OH HS it will give it away?
