Living in NYC during an internship?

<p>Hi everyone</p>

<p>I am a recent college graduate (December 2013) and I was recently offered my dream internship at a marketing company in NYC. I am from Upstate NY and I do not know where in Manhattan might be a good place to live or if I can afford it. I know in the summer there are options for subletting but I am looking to live in the city starting Mid-January til June. </p>

<p>If anyone has any advice or places that might be not to expensive, I'd love to hear it. Thanks!</p>

<p>I’m not a New Yorker, so I don’t know anything about Manhattan. However, I don’t think it’s cheap to live in Manhattan, anywhere. Don’t rely solely on Manhattan, and take into account using public transportation to go from a different part of the city to the internship. By the way, does your internship cover that?</p>
