Hello, I am a US citizen, and am visiting canada for a while. Can i still apply for fafsa while living out of the US,?
Yes, you can file the FAFSA
Yes, there are many Americans who live outside the USA.
Yes.
Visiting for awhile? Is there a state where you are a resident? Are you graduating from a U.S. high school?
What does “visiting for a while” mean?
As long as you are a U.S. citizen, you can file a FAFSA.
And you don’t apply “for” FAFSA. You file a FAFSA. The FAFSA is a financial aid form you submit to the colleges to which you apply. It is used to determine eligibility primarily for federally funded need based aid. The FAFSA does not give money.
Are your parents “visiting” Canada also?

In this thread you day you will be taking an online course. You cannot receive federally funded aid for ONE online course. And you cannot receive federally funded aid unless you are enrolled in a degree seeking program taking courses at least half time.
So…if you are hoping to get the full Pell grant while taking one online course while you are visiting Canada, that won’t happen.
Is that your question?
No I will be taking multiple online courses, I want to get about 15 credit hours a semester so full time
so would I get the full pell grant if taking that much credits?
Will you be enrolled in a degree seeking program where these online courses are being offered?
You MUST be enrolled in a degree seeking program where you are taking the courses to be eligible for,the Pell Grant.
And make sure your school is not 'proprietary ’ IE., make sure it’s not ‘for profit’. You want a non profit school where the main goal isn’t to make money off of you but to educate you.
