Has anyone that applied for this program heard yet through the mail or with an update
on MYPAW?

I applied for film production but I haven’t heard anything yet. I’m checking the mail and myPaw CONSTANTLY

My d has also applied for film production. In some of the other schools Film production majors are the last to hear. Not sure if it is the same case at LMU. Chapman will release
all other EA decision by Dec. 20th but makes the Film Production majors wait until mid January.

myPAW was updated this morning from “Currently Under Review” to admitted for the film and television production major. Have yet to receive a letter yet though…

I’m getting an error message whenever I try to open my MyPaw. I also applied to film production - agh, this is so frustrating.

I received a letter in the mail for LMU film production major and was able to check my online status the night before which read “admitted”.

my myPAW got updated to admitted on monday and i have still yet to receive my letter! some people on another thread were saying the myPAW updates 3 days after they send out your letter so i don’t know if i should be worried that my letter got lost in the mail? hopefully it will come today or tomorrow but if it doesn’t im not sure if i should contact them and see what the deal is

My status was changed to admitted for Animation (pretty sure this is SFT) at about 6PM (mountain time) yesterday, but I was told my letter has not been sent yet. I wouldn’t worry. It may just take a little while.

ugh! I applied for screenwriting, and nothing has happened yet. I haven’t gotten a letter and my MyPAW account hasn’t updated… :(

@sabrinamantha Don’t freak out too much! I think there’s a lot of people still waiting! And it seems to me that School of Film and Television stuff is coming out last so… Don’t stress! Everything will be alright!

thanks @fantasyfire!!!

@sabrina, have you heard anything yet? We still haven’t seen a change on MyPAW…
SOOOOO frustrating!

While we are waiting… I’ve read several mention that LMU is their top choice for Film and wondered what made you (or your child) pick LMU over other schools as first choice. Is it the reputation or knowledge of the film department itself, or the school, location, or other factors? Did you get a chance to visit the campus, and if so, did that impact your decision? Just curious!

@Nursemom73 I still haven’t heard anything, but don’t worry, a lot of people on Twitter have said they haven’t heard either, hopefully everyone will find out today or tomorrow!

Just wondering if there were any others admitted over the break. It sounds like most of the film production majors (on here anyway) were deferred. My D got her letter of deferral Christmas Eve.
If you were admitted, do you mind sharing your stats? Was there any word of merit scholarship? Congratulations to those who got in!

I’ve heard on other threads that merit scholarships start coming out in January, but I’m not 100% on that. I got in for film and television production. my stats are:
4.0 gpa uw 4.19 w 11 AP (6 this year) previous 2 3s, 1 4, and 1 5. 2050 SAT 32 ACT 2 years varsity softball (not in college) pretty good extracurriculars and great letters of rec and i think my essaya were good

Hi Jennyb14 Congratulations! Are you involved in any film classes at your high school or did you do any film camps? Our son applied regular decision and he is hoping to hear back soon.

Hi Jennyb14. Just curious, did you submit any film or creative resume with your application? Congrats on getting in!

I got into the film and television production program as well. The major scholarship for catholic schools is due by January 15th. If you have submitted the FAFSA by January 15th and were admitted EA you will hear back about merit scholarships by the end of January. Here are my stats: 3.785 GPA uw (not sure what it is weighted) taken 4 AP classes (2this year) and one college course through the University of Washington. I received two 4s on AP test last year. 1960 SAT

Has anyone been admitted to Film Production regular decision or did they all go to Early Action applicants? Thanks.
