I just got my acceptance letter today for the fall of 2013!!! I am beyond excited and now just have to wait to hear back from the other universities. LMU costs a pretty penny, but hopefully the Financial Aid Office treats me well. LMU is one of my top 4 choices--USC, LMU, UCLA, and PEPPERDINE.

Applied: Early Action
GPA: 3.82 UW, 4.2 W
SAT: 1810 Superscore
EC: Student Body President, Student Body VP, Student Body Treasurer, Freshmen Class Pres, + a bunch of leadership with clubs

wow congratulation!! Still not hearing anything for Spring 2013 transfer~ Do they first send decision for early application and than come to transfer application?

@iaimusic Thank you! I’m not sure how they’re doing it… I’m the first of my friends to get an acceptance for the fall, but I have heard of people who got in as a spring transfers already. So I’m assuming we were of the first round of acceptances.

Has anyone else on here heard back from LMU?

My son got acceptance letter on friday also. This is his safety school. We are very excited cause this is his first acceptance.
UW gpa 3.87
W gpa 4.37
SAT 2100 superscore. Was hoping for honors at entrance, didn’t get anything about that yet.

@knit2create In past years, they’ve given honors notice with the letter of those who applied EA. But this year has been all messed up, so who knows. Tell your son congrats for me.

@calikid28 I got it in the mail. I was totally not expecting it, because I didn’t even get an email about MYLMU/PROWL yet (that’s where you can check your admission status online). Gahh, good luck!!

@USCDREAMER Thank you for the information! I am worry about it because I know tomorrow students will start choosing their classes for Spring. If I got anything later I will miss it! And also I am an international student so I really need time on my Visa~~Do you think they have already send all acceptance and now starting REJECTION!!!AHHHH!!!

Wow, not much talk from any EA admitted students… None of my friends have heard back either nor received an email indicating their MYLMU login. Hmmm

I’m guessing that LMU made the easiest EA fall 2013 decisions first, i.e., admitting those applicants with great stats: Congrats to you few! The rest of the applicants (such as my kid) will be waiting much longer, maybe in part because of their use of the new admissions software. Last year, according to old threads here, it looks like most EA kids heard around Dec. 20th.

I feel the most sorry for those spring transfer kids still waiting to hear, yikes!!!

Congrats to all who have been accepted!
DS has not heard anything yet either, with much lower stats than the 3.9/2100 listed here. Good luck to everyone waiting!

@knit2create, my son was accepted, last year, with similar stats and my wife called LMU about Honors at Entrance. They responded that “Of course, he should be admitted with honors” and the letter arrived in a day or two. He didn’t opt for LMU, but you should contact them.

@Jane345 - LMU is testing our patience. Stats is almost the same as those who had already received the acceptance letter. Lots of ECs, and strong essay - (i think). I did not receive acceptance letter yet. LMU is one of my top choices. Hope to receive this week.

@frisesbichon I feel for you! Good luck, and I really hope you hear from them today or this week! LMU is a reach for my kid, so he is not as anxious about all this, and I’m happy to have LMU put off what is probably bad news as long as possible. It gives my kid more time to really fall in love with the schools he’s been accepted to already.

PS I think LMU admissions may have created their own private hell, having to read all those quite long philosophical supplemental essays they required, and implementing new software mid-season!
