LMU RD

i pretty sure their pattern is friday’s at 7

yes does seem like they release some at the end of each week. I’m also trying to determine if they are releasing certain majors first.

My son was accepted on March 2 in the School of Film and TV for Recording Arts. Haven’t heard much from those who applied for film production. Hopefully you’ll hear this week!

@yinhan That stat was on another LMU thread (maybe the film production one). I read it several months ago while we were still waiting for EA decisions, so it must have been back in December. Congrats to you!

@Oreo30 I know there was just another wave sent last Monday (our friend’s son just found out then). Someone also told me colleges have to let students know by April 1 (just like students have to make final decisions by May 1).

I still haven’t received my decision for LMU RD. Is this normal?

@sprightlyemily i haven’t received mine either and know of a couple people who haven’t as well, i’m stressing a little but decisions are still coming out i think

@sprightlyemily same, i’m getting really anxious. i was deferred in december.

I spoke to the admissions office because I was deferred in December, but we should be receiving notifications in “Later March or Early April”

and the torture continues.

Has anyone heard anything in the past few days?

@jasmine2022 i think they mainly release on friday’s at 7

No emails this week, not even promo. :frowning:

Hi guys today LMU mailed me and they said they want to review my application and also they want midterm report from me. Does anyone know what is it?

@ssddmm that would be your first semester senior grades

can someone please let me know if there is some type of portal we log into or how we find out please put a link thanks.

@JayA2000 you should of gotten an email a while back that gave you log in stuff for your portal here’s the link to the portal tho https://engage.lmu.edu/account/login?r=https%3a%2f%2fengage.lmu.edu%2fapply%2fstatus

does anyone know what a rolling admission is? I saw in the previous posts that LMU does a rolling application, is that true?

@pnwybn correct me if i’m wrong but pretty sure rolling just means decisions aren’t all sent out at once and yes this is how lmu has been doing it

I believe rolling admission denotes that you can apply anytime and will have your decision within 4-6 weeks after doing so. My older one applied to WVU which is rolling in August before his senior year and found out in October long before any of his friends. It was great in the sense that we didn’t have to endure the long agonizing wait. It was not great in that it was easy to rest on his laurels and my son did just that with a bad case of senioritis. Loyola is not rolling in the sense that I understand it. My younger son applied to Loyola EA and was deferred for screenwriting and now he’s also waiting with all of you guys. Good luck to all. I’m hoping they roll out some more decisions soon.

Has anyone gotten any word on the financial need offers at LMU? My son was accepted but we need to know about financial aid before making any decisions. Thank you
