I have some federal student loans from undergrad and I know they can be deferred if you go through an approved graduate program. I would like to know if I can go to a graduate school in another country (looking at Europe) and still have them deferred, or if I'm confined to programs in the United States. I appreciate any help I can get because I would like to start narrowing down my options.

If the school can accept federal student loans, or is approved as a “deferment-eligible” school, yes.
