Hello,
Are there any loans available to internationals?
I know a need a US co signer, but will a Canadian citizen con signer do?
Thanks!
All of the lending institutions I am familiar with require the cosigner to be a specifically U.S. citizen/resident who has been in the United States (not Canada) for a certain number of years (2 to 5 years).
How will having a Canadian help w a US loan? Canadians are also foreigners in the US.
Maybe your Canadian associate can borrow the money in Canada.
A private lender can lend to whoever it wants to (within the constrictions put on it by its chartering agency) but they won’t. Why should they? You aren’t a customer, you aren’t going to help them grow their business, you will be nothing but a pain to try to collect from. Where is the upside to the lender?
Yes, look at Canadian lenders.
Ok, thanks!
So let me put it this way, can I borrow money from a Canadian lender to fund my US studies?
