Loans?

Sorry if this is in the wrong spot, I'm new to CC.

What loans do people usually use if they can't pay for college and don't qualify for financial aid?

If someone could refer me to a website or something that would be great.

Finaid.org is a good source of loan info. Are you a student or a parent? Stafford (federal) loans are available to all students as long as they file FAFSA (and don’t have drug convictions while they’re receiving federal aid)…$5500 for freshmen, $6500 for sophomores, and $7500 for juniors/seniors. Parents can apply for federal Plus loans. Your state may also have an education loan program in place. There are many private education lenders - Discover and Wells Fargo often get high marks from posters here. Many parents choose to use home equity loans due to the more favorable rates.

Thank you for the information! I’m a student
