Too late for my daughter, but a nice thing for Yale to do. I heard they cut some of what they pay for employees children's tuition, but this will help many children attend college that stay in state.http://www.wtnh.com/dpp/news/new_haven_cty/destefano-announcement-new-haven

They also pay a certain percentage of New Haven residents’ tuition costs for in state schools besides Yale

They will pay all the tuition (if you don’t get scholarships) for state schools and 2400.00 I think toward any CT private schools including Yale.
My daughter couldn’t get that, but she did benefit among many others, taking classes there in high school. The biggest hassle was getting the ID.

I think its fantastic they are investing in New Haven. This gives students some motivation do well enough in school to continue on to college even if their family can not pay.
