Loft Beds

So my son got his housing assignment today and we're immediately confused. Elon prints a summary of Residence Hall info that says pretty much all the residence halls (except 3) have loftable beds.

But when I printed out his Housing Contract it clearly says:

The University does not endorse or encourage the use, purchase or construction of bed lofts, unless purchased through TimberNest. Lofting is only permitted in Virginia and Staley.

Anybody know the real scoop?

they give you lofts if you're allowed to use them

Is Staley WiFi? Is it a good spot for my incoming freshman D? Is it co-ed or all women?

I believe all of the dorms are wireless, if that's what you're asking. And also I'm pretty sure the first floor of Staley is co-ed, but the rest is all girls. I could be wrong though.

Thanks, wild.

Allow me to clear up a few things- I'm a senior at Elon University, and I also work in the Orientation office.

Lofts- You were correct when you said that Elon gives you lofts if you are allowed to have them. Physical Plant will be available during move-in to help you.

Residence halls- All three floors of Staley are girls. Also, all of the res. halls have internet capabilities, and almost all are wireless. I do not remember off-hand which ones are being worked on.

Please, if you have any more questions please call the Orientation office at x7777. I hope some of this information helped.
