so, i am thinking of graduating in 3 years...and then maybe (maybe) i will spend my fourth year continuing research (working full time) at the lab where i currently work part-time (btw, im gonna be a frosh at UC berkeley and the lab is at UCSF)

now, what is the problem in graduating in 3 years and applying to med schools?

look, i know this has been asked before, but please just consider the plan i mention above

as you said, it's been hashed and rehashed a million times, even with your particular situation, so do a search.

if you have three full years of coursework, apply after your third year and do interviews during your research year, you should be fine, but there may be the perception that you rushed through.

thanks for your input
but really, thanks, if the perception is still going to be that i rushed, i better not and just stick to the traditional manner

One thing that seems to always get lost when people start talking about rushing through in three years is that the road becoming a Doctor is a grind....it is an enormous commitment of time, hard work and all the stress that goes along with it. Why rush it?

Your undergrad years SHOULD be some of the best years of your life. Enjoy them, take a few classes that you would like to take that interest you, not ones that you have to take. Try to achieve SOME balance in your life because when you enter Med school the opportunities for broad based learning virtually come to an end.
