Looking at possible majors

Is there a huge difference in the majors who have dual emphasis, ex. computer science and engineering vs. computer engineering. If an employer looks at graduates with both degrees, does the CS&E student have to spend credits on engineering to be as qualified as the computer engineering major?

Also the computer science and engineering major I am considering has enough credits left over to finish the requirements for a BS in Math, except for a minor. Are you expected to use your' electives in the subject that is your' major/something that is closely related, or does that just give you an edge when looking for a job?

Sorry for the amount of questions, want to do this as good as possible.

You really have to look at the curriculum to compare for differences in the two degrees. Employers will look at your degree and courses but also at your experience and that may be more important than the specific title of your degree.

You have to see if the electives are “free” in which case they can be anything, or “technical” in which case they have some constraints.
