<p>I'm a member of the New Orleans Kendo club. I thought I'd post this here because when I was coming in as a freshman, I went through so much research concerning clubs. I tried out ten during the "free" week, and Kendo is the one I eventually stuck with. </p>

<p>We meet Wednesday nights and Sunday afternoons at Riley for one and two hours, respectively. </p>

<p>Kendo is a popular Japanese martial art, but unlike Karate and Aikido in that Kendo deals with learning how to fight with swords. For more information on what Kendo is, check out this handy wikipedia article: Kendo</a> - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia</p>

<p>What is the “free” week?</p>

<p>It’s a week where you can try out any activity for free…for a week. After that, you have to pay club dues to Riley Sports center. </p>

<p>You can normally ease your way past that, up to a month. But after that Riley starts pestering you.</p>
