Looking for a school with a good biology program

I'm looking for target schools with a wide range of biology courses. I'm mainly interested in ecology though. I'd prefer somewhere on the east coast.

GPA: 98 (weighted)
SAT: 2060
Top 5%

Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

Most highly regarded schools will have strong bio. Some are especially stong in ecology - but it would help a lot to know more about your selection criteria:

size (large public? small LAC?)
urban, rural, suburban
culture (preppy, rah-rah, jock, intellectual, quirky, artsy, granola, etc…)
financial need

Bard offers scholarships to students majoring in the sciences.

I’d prefer to be in a small LAC, but I go to a large high school (in the thousands) where I’ve thrived as well. Size isn’t really a concern to me.
Urban or suburban. I guess I’d prefer an intellectual, quirky or artsy kind of culture.
My parents make less than 60k, so at the top institutions, I’d be fine. On the other hand, at out of state public institutions, I’m not so sure how much I can get.

Might look at Holy Cross(don’t have to be religious) very good LAC -ranked 29th by US News. Holy Cross has strong biology/science programs and offers on campus internships. HC has nice campus and good alumni network.

An urban LAC that’s intellectual and artsy? Sounds like Vassar. Your test score is a bit low but if you are male, it works in your favor due to the gender imbalance at the school. I know they have environmental studies but not sure how strong the program is nor the quality of the financial aid. Try posting on the Vassar web site and check the common data set for Vassar to see how you compare to matriculated students.

Thanks everyone!

Unfortunately, I am not a male, so that wouldn’t work in my favor for Vassar. Thanks for the suggestion though!
