Looking for boarding school post RTC

My daughter will be leaving residential treatment shortly and looking for a low key boarding school in the northeast. Not necessarily therapeutic. All suggestions welcomed.

Im bumping this to note the RTC was for anxiety and depression.

Do you need fa?

I would think that Putney or Proctor should be considered. Good luck!

Suffield is very friendly and supportive. Everyone there seems happy.

Worcester Academy is a very nurturing, accepting community with robust clubs/organizations, sports, excellent performing arts. Strong student support.

You may also want to pose this question to the staff at the RTC. I imagine there have been others that also looked and they may have some feedback about specific schools which your could research further here.

No. Well we do. But won’t qualify.

I’m being recommended to Knox but can’t find much

Congrats to your daughter on finishing treatment - What grade will she be next year? Assuming you are looking for next fall? Putney may not be structured enough for some kids coming out of a RTC. Suffield is a good recommendation but they have no remaining spots for 10th grade girls fyi. We recently inquired.

I was going to suggest Millbrook as well as Proctor & Suffield.

Thanks, she is going into 11th grade. I will look into Suffield Putney may not be the right call.
