Totally agree (I was appropriately discouraged - although I could certainly read the writing on the wall… and my transcript ). Some schools are a little more subtle, and note that they might counsel someone to take some extra time to strengthen their app/find a post-bacc program. I guess I’d lean towards knowing that I need a Plan B as a soph/jr than at the end of an unsuccessful app season, but that’s still up to the applicant.
Was asking for personal experience. Not comparison.
How in the world would anyone have personal experience with all the schools you mention? There are 8 Ivy league schools, and can’t imagine anyone has “personal” experience with all 8, let alone personal experience with those 8 combined with the 4 LACs mentioned.
Although if someone has “personal” experience with all 12, that would be one interesting story.
Do you seriously think that’s what the question is?
