I was wondering the same thing. A waiver seems like a real longshot. I would concentrate on state schools that the OP says she can afford on her own or schools with good merit aid.

I did not see the mention of the non-custodial parent having involvement (financial or otherwise). I guess I missed that. Regardless, I just asked if it was possible and suggested looking into it.
