Looking to go to college to become a vet in the US...

I’m not really sure if this is the right section to post this in, but oh well.

At the moment I’m 14, in England in the outskirts of London. I’ve practically finished this year (going into year 11, I was moved up a year a few years ago, that’s why I’m only 14), so I have 3 more years before I head off to university. Someone is probably going to say I shouldn’t worry about it yet, but I need some focus in life. I’ve pretty much decided that I want to be a vet, and I want to go to university in the US. When I’ve finished school I’ll be 17 and a half. I’m not really sure yet where exactly I want to go, but I have two years to figure that out. These are the 27 veterinary colleges in the US, just for reference http://www.vetmed.iastate.edu/students/uscolleges.asp

I guess the questions I’m asking are:

What is the general procedure for international students (or British students to be specific) applying for colleges in the US?

What subjects should I take for my A-Levels in order to become a vet? (I’m guessing at least Biology and Chemistry)

What things should I enrol for upon leaving for university? I’m just confused about majors, pre-veterinary, etc. and what they mean. I just basically need to know what someone wanting to become a vet would do step by step really.

I understand that these are probably difficult questions, but if you could help me with any of them, I’d be very grateful.
