Losing HOPE

How hard is it to keep HOPE/Zell? Or how many kids end up losing it? Im a straight A student coming in with Zell but I’m slightly concerned that I might lose it due to the rigor of the courses. I have absolutely no desire to major in engineering but am interested in math, computer science, and psychology so I’ll probably major in one of the three, if that makes any difference.

There are a lot of posts relevant to your question over at the Georgia Tech reddit forum. I recommend you research previous relevant posts there as well as ask your question on reddit since there are more current students there.

They passed a bill that starting in the 2017/2018 year certain STEM classes will get a .5 boost for B,C & D’s when figuring the college HOPE GPA. I doubt the psychology classes will get an boost but higher CS and math classes probably will. If you major in either CS or Math that will help.Unless you get all A’s…
