<p>USC is often a stand-in for Harvard. The TV show Paper Chase (20 years or so ago) was set at Harvard Law school but filmed at USC. </p>
<p>There are two main reasons for this: USC is near the Hollywood studios and Harvard isn't. Harvard doesn't allow filming on its campus and USC does.</p>
