Low first semester GPA

Finals are happening, and as such I am beginning to freak out a little over my first semester grades, which are as follows:

PSYC 101 (General Psychology): A
ENGL 105 (English Composition and Rhetoric): A
CHEM 101 (Gen chem 1): B+
BIOS 600 (Principles of Statistical Inference): B
ANTH 578 (Chinese Diaspora in the Asia Pacific): A-
Random music ensembles-A's

These are literally the worst grades I have ever gotten and I'm considering transferring to NC State or perhaps ECU. I know I've had trouble with biostat--it's mostly grad students in the school of public health and therefore quite difficult. I just screwed up majorly in chem by missing 1/2 of an exam (oversleeping). Is there any way I can pull my GPA up to an acceptable range in the next couple of years?
