Has anybody gotten into Pepperdine University with a low GPA?
And they were also a Christian.

Average GPA for enrolled students last year was 3.59 unweighted. See common dataset for distribution. Pepperdine is not just about GPA/SAT scores. It has a holisitic review so the numbers do not tell the whole story.

@Gumbymom so other factors could compensate for a low GPA?
Most private schools will use Teacher recommendations, EC’s and your essays as additional criteria for a holisitic review of your application. They may overlook low GPA for some outstanding achievements, awards etc…
In addition, your ability to articulate how Pepperdine would help you grow in your faith would have a preponderant weight.
@MYOS1634 Really? That has been one of the exact reasons why I wanted to go there.
Well, it depends what you mean by “low GPA”. But Pepperdine would rather take a student who’s above their 25th percentile and fits with their mission, than a student at the 75th percentile who doesn’t.
So if you have 3.4-3.7 you’re good. If you’re 2.8-3.2, not so good - faith or not, you have to be able to do the work.
@MYOS1634 Well I have a 3.2 UW but a 3.6 W… but I’m also a URM (Colombian) that codes. Not sure if that helps or not.
