Dear CC readers,
I would really appreciate some advice and guidance as I'm in a really bad spot and am feeling terribly hopeless and depressed. I am finishing up my Masters degree in Electrical Engineering this December (from a really good school) but my GPA is really low (2.91) and I have 2 "C"s and a horrible "F" on my transcript. Our institution allows us to graduate with a 2.7. I really don't have any valid excuse as to my bad performance other than struggling on some of my classes but acing others. I also didn't obtain any internships and spent my summers taking classes to improve my GPA. I did do really well in some classes that gave me some really good experience and produced good projects.

What I want to know is, is it possible for me to obtain a decent job based on the experience and project work in the classes that I did really good on? I did well in my undergraduate institution (also in EE), so I should be able to atleast get jobs that other undergraduates are qualified for, plus some graduate exposure in those fields?

I'm trying to gain some experience (and hopefully a reference) by doing some volunteer research under a professor for a few months.

Thanks for your responses.
