Low overall GPA but high UC Transferable GPA

Hello all!

I am planning on transferring to either UC Davis, UC Irvine, Or UC Santa Barbra. My UC transferable or Major GPA by the end of Spring 2014 will either be anywhere from a 3.6-3.8 and my cumulative will be anywhere from a 3.2 -3.4

So will my cumulative GPA weigh me down when it comes to transferring? Will the UC's not like the idea that my overall grade it low?

Thanks and looking forward to reading your responses!

Looks like UC Transferable GPA is what matters and to a lesser extent, the GPA of courses related to your major. But it looks like non transferable classes don’t matter at all.
