low SAT 1...high SAT 2s....chance me!!!!

<p>international student, fifteen years old (going to be 16 in march)</p>

<p>SAT: (it sucks!)
math=600
CR=550
W=570</p>

<p>SAT 2: (it rocks!)
math level 1 = 790
chemistry= 800
physics= 800</p>

<p>GPA:
teacher and counselor evaluations: good ( i asked the teachers to rate it on a scale of 1-10 and the average was 7.5)</p>

<p>essays: not too spectacular but alright</p>

<p>extracurriculars: </p>

<p>junior engineers club
library/readers club
chess club
arts club</p>

<p>honors:</p>

<p>social science honor award
school science team
inter-house soccer 1st place award
school chess team
school prefect</p>

<p>well from ur clubs im guessing you want to major in engineeering. Well ur sat1 are bad but they might not concentrate much on that. Cornell looks for deicated people in their major and for engineering they want someone with mastery of match and science. How are you 16 did you skip a grade. That would help. Other than your low sat1 which i think is a bs test i say ur ok. You might wanna take it again unless its ur senior year then ill just say good luck.
MIT honestly id say the odds are low. Even though the sat2 should help you i dont think a 7.5 /10 gpa will be enough.
Carnegie should be easier than cornell so id give u 10% for cornell and 20-30 % for carnegie. 2% Mit. I dont really know much about the others sorry. I hope this ill help. But hey kust believe in ur self it helps.</p>

<p>for someone like u, with a low sat but clear passion for science, a really good essay probly woodve done the trick, but u say they are alrite so im gonna say the odds at cornell are low</p>
