Low SSAT scores at New England Prep schools?

I just got my SSAT scores back and have received an 81. Is a relatively low score for New England BS? At my tour at Loomis Chaffee, my tour guide said that a friend of hers was accepted with low SSAT score. What are the low scores that get admitted to New England BS?(Choate, Gorton, Loomis, Hotchkiss, Lawerencville)

I know that Groton has a cutoff for applicants who scored below 80%, but you’ll be fine. Are you a true hook for these schools to make up for your score? Are your grades stellar? What about these schools intrigue you? Are you keeping in mind that you will most likely test below <50% of your classmates? Best of luck. This isn’t a low score at all, but it might be a challenge to get in since your schools are pretty selective. I would recommend that all applicants cats a wide net.

You could try to take the SSAT again if you can. Most people actually do better the second time. Good Luck!!!
