Her science courses and US History courses have been very rigorous. She is well prepared for next level. Her Art History courses less so. She is well beyond high school level for studio art courses.
A couple of thoughts:
• Colleges will look to see that an applicant will have maximized the academic opportunities presented within the framework of the HS curriculum. Despite what one might think after reading this website, the number of students who have the need/ability to go outside of their HS curriculum is small.
• Not all students can/should follow a prescribed lock-step curriculum. Students change schools all the time for a variety of reasons. Sometimes the new school is not at academically advanced as the former school. Colleges know that and will not hold it against an applicant.
• Your daughter will certainly be capable of crafting some well-written essays for her admissions packets which will highlight her progress along the way.
• She is 13!! First things first. Help her adjust to her new life in HS, which will be a big transition, before worrying about college.
@skieurope Those thoughts came to my mind but I wasn’t sure if I am just wishful. Hearing them from you is reassuring.
