Lower student wanting to transfer into a college with a radiology program. HELP!

Alright, unlike most of the smart people here, I have to chances of getting into a med school or whatnot, but I have decided to try my luck at transferring to another 4 year college, must be public, that has a radiology, radiography, diagnostic imaging etc. program. Here's my stats. I just finished up my freshman year of college at Cal Poly: San Luis Obispo as a biology major with a 2.28 GPA. I have no reason to stay at SLO because I am no longer pre-med, and I am not smart enough anyways. I want to transfer but so far I really only have two colleges that I know of with Health Sciences B.S. degrees that will get me on my way to becoming an X-Ray tech or such in my area. Schools that I will be looking to transfer to are:
1. Cal State: Northridge
2. UNLV

Those are the only two that I know of right now. I am almost positive that CSUN is the only public school in Cal that has this. Now the problem I have here is that I am geographically limited. I need to stay on the west coast (Cal, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico) OR I can go to any school within 2 hours driving of Chicago. Finding my schools is priority #1, #2 is finding out what my chances of getting into these schools in there radiology programs. If it matters, my gpa in high school was 3.89 with 1150 SAT scores. I'd much rather prefer to go to UNLV, but if there are other schools, I'd like to know about them. I really need help here. Thank you.

Good luck:) Keep looking, you'll find what you need.

awww. no one here can help someone whos not going to a high level school.

hhmm i went to google.com and typed in undergraduate radiography programs and got a bunch of different school websites. i only scanned the first page, i didn't see any in the areas you mentioned but i'm sure if you looked further along or tried some different search words you would come up with something.

yeah the areas im restrained to hurt a lot, i think b/c of the 4 year, arizona is automatically eliminated

bumpin for some helpin

CSU Fresno--looks like a good program but its biomedical physics, it seem to concentrate in different types of radiology, but i think it's a broader type program.
<a href="http://medicalphysics.csufresno.edu/whatis/diagnosticradiology.htm%5B/url%5D">http://medicalphysics.csufresno.edu/whatis/diagnosticradiology.htm</a></p>

University of New Mexico-offers associates and bachelors degrees in radiology. also seems to be a broader program but with a concentration in radiological sciences.
<a href="http://radiology.unm.edu/RadSciences/Radiography.htm%5B/url%5D">http://radiology.unm.edu/RadSciences/Radiography.htm</a></p>

Sonoma College (locations in Hawthorne, Petaluma, San Francisco, Van Nuys. all in California)- they offer a two year associates degree in radiology.

Bryman College- offers professional programs for x-ray technicians w/limited permits (? i'm not sure what that means, you'd have to contact the school to find out more) I'm sure bryman is located in all of the other states that you mentioned. you'll just have to check out where x-ray tech programs are available.

Fresno and NM are public, sonoma and bryman are private. i also found that northwestern in IL offers a radiology program, but that is also private. i found some more but they are either private or only offer associates (or both.) well i hope that helps, if you want the links and stuff to the other private ones just let me know. hope it's some help.

wow thanx, yeah, this does help a lot, new mexico. man.

no problem.
