Loyola & Northwestern

My apologies kyler, I misread one of your previous posts about CTA times. Yes, it is more like 1.5 hours from Evanston to Midway.

I really wish they would put a Trader Joes in HP... the co-op is just awful. However, I think if they did put a TJ's in Hyde Park produce wouldn't necessarily go the way of the dodo. Most TJ's don't really have a full produce selection... and I think HP produce could still exist.

Yeah, anything to kill the Co-Op and watch it die a slow, painful death....

.... I mean, we could go on for a long time about a "revamped" Hyde Park and what that would look like and what that would do to the community, but for now I'm sort of happy with things the way they are, even though I might complain. I don't want HP to become some giant strip mall, and I sort of enjoy the inconvenience of having to go downtown to buy clothing and whatnot.

I hear a lot about the other neighborhoods in Chicago, but to be honest unless you are into Indie music / cheap ethnic food, there is not a whole hell of a lot to do in them. I went to two and found neither to be worth the commute. I could have done the same thing in Hyde Park.

Wow...you sound more like a tourist than a Chicago alum. Or did you not go out while at Chicago?

Many 9 PM Movies get out around 11 PM.

NU students likely don't need to go to downtown for 9 PM movies when they have the Century Movie Theater with 18 screens in downtown Evanston.
