Does anyone know when RISD sends their decisions by for the upcoming Fall class of 2015?
Also, I have got into 3 other schools for MA graphic design - MICA, Pratt and SVA. I have to pay a good amount of money to save a seat. They also mention that the seat will be confirmed only if space is available. But RISD is my first choice and I am wondering if I should wait for RISD’s decision or should I make the payment for my second choice anyway.
Any ideas? Much help needed.
@RadMan12345, the RISD Admissions FB page has a few posts from students who have been accepted to or rejected from various graduate departments. Haven’t noticed anything for GD specifically but it appears that some graduate program decisions (ID, Arch) are out already. In the past MFA decisions have tended to come out a few days before the BFA decisions - this year the latter are due sometime the last week of March.
You should probably get in touch with the director of graduate admissions to find out more specific timing information, esp. as you are facing a quick turnaround decision concerning other programs.

Have you applied to RISD as well?
D1 has applied to RISD - BFA. Her intended major is GD as well. She has already been accepted to MICA, Pratt, and MCAD and a couple of university programs so this is the only decision she’s still waiting on.
@Mamelot Is it clear yet as to when exactly the BFA decisions will be released? I have been on my toes for the past week because I was told they would be released from the 15 - 25.
@masuds they are leaning towards Wednesday, according to the Facebook page.
