<p>pros? cons?</p>
<p>Mac: better looking, better built, better customer service, lighter, thinner, better battery life, more OS options.</p>
<p>PC: significantly cheaper than similarly specced Mac, more hardware options, better gaming, bigger selection of applications.</p>
<p>If anyone replying to this thread mentions compatibility, they haven’t used a Mac in the last 5 years or so. I’ve been a Mac user for the last 7 years, and I’d never recommend anything else. Cost is sometimes an issue, but you get what you pay for.</p>
<p>If you have the money, go for a Mac. I work as a Residential Computing Advisor for Student Housing (if you have computer issues, you’ll probably be seeing me or one of my co-workers!) and 95% of the issues I deal with are viruses on a Windows machine. </p>
<p>However, if spending over a grand for a laptop is too much… Windows 7 is actually a really nice operating system. You can find laptops with Windows 7 and decent specs for ~600, but I really enjoy how sleek and great the battery life is on the unibody MacBook Pros.</p>
