<p>Daniel Sigman, a Princeton biogeochemist, and Theodore Zoli (Princeton Class of '88), a structural engineer, are Princeton's two MacArthur 'genius grant' winners this year. Each will receive $500,000.00 over a five year period, allowing them the freedom to pursue their research in greater depth.</p>

<p>This morning, the MacArthur Foundation announced its 24 winners who range from scientists to artists to social activists. In addition to Princeton's two winners, Berkeley, Harvard and Yale also announced two each.</p>
