Hi. I just have a question for anyone who wants to give their opinion on the matter. I have narrowed my acceptances down to the Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College of CUNY and Case Western Reserve University, but now I've hit a roadblock in trying to decide which school I should attend. I received from Case a scholarship worth about $22,000 a year and I also received an additional $5,000 from another source, but the school still would cost between $23,000 and $27,000 per year. I'm looking to major in behavioral biology/behavioral neuroscience and to minor in political science. So, basically my question is which school should I attend? Is it worth paying $100,000 to go to Case when I can go to Macaulay for free and still get a great education with wonderful opportunities in terms of internships, study abroad programs, and future plans?
I appreciate any help I can get. Thanks.

Where would the $100,000 come from? If your family has that much sitting in a big college fund in the bank just waiting to be spent, it is one thing. If you and your family would have to load up on student loans, parent loans, and the like, it is another thing entirely.

Go to Macaulay. Its a better choice --financially and academically – than CWRU

Like happymom says, unless you have $100,000 just to spend on college, Hunter College makes a lot more sense.

If you are dorming at Macaulay I hope you are including that cost in your computations.Living in NYC is EXPENSIVE plus the cost of food. Figure $20M per year.
