MacBook Pro 2.26 GHz vs. 2.53 GHz

^ Just to be clear, laptop = 204-pin; desktop = 240-pin

Lergnom,
Where would you resell it?
I’m considering that, but have no idea where or how. Does the warranty transfer to the new owner?
Thanks.

craigslist, ebay.
i’d go for craigslist. there’s an 8% fee for ebay on top of the hassle.

thank you very much for the answer aforautumn. my next question, I was looking at bestbuy.com and saw that there is now huge difference between the macbook pro baseline model and a macbook. The processor speed is slightly slower but I’m not sure if it will make a huge differece and the keyboard isn’t backlit. Are those the only differences between the two? I’m a college student trying to save money and need a new computer because I’m currently using a PC that is beginning to make me mad.

both of them will work spectacularly for basic usage like internet, music, video, word processing, and chat.

i will say, however, that a backlit keyboard is a luxury that is often exceedingly underrated. for me, i think it would be the deal-breaker.

I was thinking the same thing with the keyboard also. I do a lot of games late at night and having the keyboard would be awesome so I wouldn’t have to constantly find the home keys. Now my next thing is to decide between the two. I really like the aluminum unibody but I also wanted a cheap one. I can always have a flashlight in my “mouse hand” lol

is there any reason (besides better insurance than applecare) that i should buy my macbook pro at a Best Buy than the Apple store?

Best Buy will also give you Reward Zone Points worth 5 dollars for every 250 dollars you spend, which is about 30 dollars if you are a RZ member. I’m one and the points come in handy on large purchases.
