For an engineering major, please give the pros and cons of those classes (required to take one or the other).

not sure what u mean by pros and cons, but both classes are pretty similar in terms of class structure(no hw, which is really nice, and a few exams). Study a lot before the exams though, to make up for the time that you didn’t spend on HWs.

Be very careful with the multiple choice questions cuz each Q can cost you alot of pts and they add up pretty quickly.

I took both over the summer here in Ann Arbor so they might not be exactly the same as the ones in fall and winter.
I personally liked 102 better~

Does one require more work than the other? Do the grades tend to be higher in one vs the other?

there is no work, so if you screw up on 1 exam, you wont get an A.
The avg for both courses is around a B or B- i think.

I’m currently taking Micro, and the material isn’t super hard, but it does require a lot of work to really learn. The thing about the class that really makes it hard is how it’s curved though. They give the exact curve: 25% A-range, 34% B-range (Median being a B-), 23% C-Range, 18% fail. And it’s still pretty competitive, so that top 11% (or whatever it is) for a flat A is actually quite hard to get.

I will take Macro next semester, and I’ve heard it’s a little bit easier. I don’t know if that means the curve is better of if the material is easier to learn or what, all I’ve heard is that it’s easier.
