Bump it up

Dear eagle69 : Here is the ultimate question for you.

For some reason, you feel that your topics need to be at the top of the Boston College CC threads by bumping up your topics. Let me ask you something : Have you reflected on the reasons why (before me) the Boston College CC stalwarts have not responded?

Let’s take this topic as one example. Have you even made the effort to review Boston College’s web site to determine your own solution?

It is disturbing that any young person who might be on the right trajectory for Boston College could potentially be so very needy that constant reaffirmation is required. Please, eagle69, do some research. If you are not capable of answering this question on your own, you are not capable of the academic rigor required at Boston College.

In short, what am I telling you? Grow up.

I gotchu eagle. Bump.

Eagle69:
You have a fairly strong academic profile. That is necessary, but not always sufficient for acceptance. BC will be looking at your character to try and understand if you’ll be someone who will add value and strengthen the student body. To the readers of this forum who barely know you, you’ve already painted a strong picture of being unsure of yourself. If you were an admissions counselor, what would you reaction be to such signs of a confidence void?

The good news is our impression doesn’t count. What will count is what comes through on your application and on your letters of recommendations from those who personally know you. You have a good six months before those letters will be written. That isn’t much time to capitalize on scottj’s valuable input, but it’s never too late to start believing in your convictions.
