I need help. So I'm just wondering, does my minor have to be relative to my major?

I want to major in Criminal Justice but I want to minor in something completely different, like fitness. Is that possible?

Thanks :)

Most employers don’t really care about minors, to be honest, so you can minor in anything you would like. :)

Good to know. (: Thank you!

Of course! There’s no rule that said a minor has to relate to your major at all. No colleges does that to my knowledge. It’s just that if you minor in a related field, you might be able to take classes that count for credits for both sides (easier to graduate and less time consuming).

Who says it doesn’t relate? The more fit you are, the faster you’ll be able to get away from the bad guys…just saying…:)

I don’t know if I want my tax dollars to pay his salary if he’s just gonna run away from the bad guys.

^ :P

I’m planing to take on two minors so I can explore my other interests without killing myself over a double major (or limiting myself to just one other subject). CS major + math minor + literature minor.

Minors are a great way to explore things you love while majoring in something you want as a career, or to explore things that seem interesting but might not be long-term focus areas.
