Major Change in AP Exam (2012)

I have a dilemma regarding AP Physics. I don't know whether to take physics B or physics C. I'm very good at math (5 on Calc BC Exam, Linear Algebra this year) but only average to above average at physics. I pulled off an A first semester in physics B (my school only offers B), but my test scores were usually only around B's (once again, i'm good at the math parts, bad at the conceptual). Any suggestions as to what to take; B or C? I've started self-studying C and i've heard it uses more math, so it's what i'm leaning towards now. Thanks.

sorry about the attention grabbing title; i just need opinions ASAP. thanks.

come on? almost 300 views and no replies…

No one is answering because they’re discouraged from you lying in your title.

If you’re majoring in a STEM field (a science, math, or engineering field) then Physics C for sure. Physics C does not use much Calculus (basics of derivatives, intergrals and diff equations), its mostly conceptual based. If you study Physics C you’ll need to decide on whether you want to take the Mech, E&M tests or both. If you do this, make sure you’re also acing your Physics B class.

^ Stop being so antagonistic.

ok, thanks techhexium.

I was just trying to tell you why no one was answering. I wasn’t trying to get smart.

I’m in a plain physics class right now but I’ll be taking physics C next year, they don’t have B at my school and my teacher said that C was easier than B in his personal opinion. Sorry that wasn’t much hell at all but it’s better than nothing
