when appyling to Brown, how does ones intended major (in my case entrepreneurship) impact his or her chances of admission?

Your intended major shouldn't really affect your chances of admission, unless they can only take a certain number of students per major, which I've never heard of (at Brown or anywhere else).

I think it's to get a better sense of your aspirations and why you might be considering Brown in pursuit of them.

Good luck!

I think if you plan to study the sciences, it matters, especially because you have to fill out a separate form with essays related to your interests.

I also think if you plan to major in Classics, it's pretty important (I think I remember my Brown information session speaker mention something along those lines)

im a female wanting to do engineering, will that help me a tiny bit? i hope so haha.

it might help a bit since they don't want a flooding of applicants in one area while little numbers in others. as for the sciences, not all sciences require that extra personal statement. i first chose chemistry but switched to biology and it turned out that I didn't have to do the extra personal statement anymore.
