Major Common Application Crisis!I'm helpless.

Okay so under the activities for the common application I am having quite a dilemma.
Most of my activities are NOT on the drop down list.
For example I have been doing research at a plasma physics lab for a year now, I am on academic decathlon and I have started a non-profit.
I feel really uncomfortable classifying these activities as "other" since colleges will not understand the magnitude of these organizations I have participated in and even created. How do I solve this problem?
Please and thank you.
P.S. I'm sorry that this message may have been poorly written. I am shaking nervously here.

Create a one page resume and download it at the end of the common app. Consider discussing some of your activities in your short or long common app essay. Rice also has the opportunity for you to discuss in the supplement’s essays.

Don’t stress. There’s plenty of other ways to tell about your great activities.

Whoops. I meant Stanford. Forgot which forum I was in. Stanford’s supplement also gives you many opportunities - the essay on intellectual vitality, for example.

Thank you I kind of figured it out.:)

Dont we already have a 150 word common app essay to elaborate on one of our ECAs?
