<p>Are some particular majors easier for admittence than others. Like is it easier to get into UCLA for example declaring something like a Political Science or English major rather than Biology or Engineering? (this is all assuming a person has over 4.0 weighted GPA, strong SAT score, and leadership EC's)</p>

usually, if the school is separated into different departments, some departments are more difficult to get into. for example, carnegie mellon's science/engineering department and business school is more well known than it's humanities department.</p>
