I don't know whether Caltech has like a sanskrit course, or a religious studies course. MIT doesn't, but their students can take these classes at Harvard. What about Caltech?

There is no sanskrit, and no classes that are directly "religious studies." There is definitely no religious studies minor. Occasionally, if you can find a professor to teach a class, you can arrange it, but creating a minor is much more difficult.
There are a couple of Asian art history classes where you basically end up learning about Buddhism, Hinduism, and/or Shinto.

You mean I can't go to nearby universities to learn . . . like the mutualism between harvard and mit?

Caltech students can take classes at Occidental College. http://www.admissions.caltech.edu/uploads/File/general/FAQgeneral.pdf

There's also Scripps and the Art Center. Don't know if any of them teach sanskrit.
