Major Prereq Question re AP and Calc 1

Hey guys I’m currently taking Calc 2 this semester at my CC but I realized that my AP Calc Score isn’t high enough to get credit at some UCs I’m applying to (but it’s high enough that I got credit at my CC), so my question is if I apply to a UC and meet all their major prereqs except calc 1 cause my CC gave me credit, would I just get flat out denied? And should I go back and take calc 1 even after completing calc 2? My major is Computer Science and I’m a first year at CC

Calc 2 validates Calc 1 even if you never took it so it should be okay, otherwise they’re violating their own rules. If you didn’t take Calc 2 it would be a different story.

See page 18:

Does page 18 of http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/counselors/files/quick-reference-2018.pdf apply to transfer admission, since it says “FRESHMAN ADMISSION” at the top and lists high school courses?

(If they are sensible, calculus 2 should validate calculus 1 for transfers, but who knows if they are sensible in this way.)

In other words: You may want to ask the UCs directly if completing calculus 2 will validate calculus 1 as a transfer student.

^^ all roads lead to an email to UC admissions!

Ok thanks everyone, I will send them an email
