Although I applied in bioengineering but in the admission offer i received it says that i have been admitted and the major is undeclared. Can anyone help me as its does not say anything about the space being not available or choosing any other major?
The engineering majors are impacted, meaning you can be admitted to UCSD but not your desired major. You can either continue as a non-engineer or try to transfer in at the start of your second year. To do transfer in, you’d have to take 9 courses: MATH 20A-C, CHEM 6A-B, PHYS 2A-B, MAE 8, and BILD 1. Admission is based solely on applicants’ GPA in these courses.

Thank you for the help but it doesnt say anywhere that i have not been admitted to that specific major it says undeclared?
If you were admitted as undeclared it means you were accepted to UCSD but not the bioengineering program
So have i been admitted to engineering school? Or what? How do i choose the major now? Or what would i be studying in the freshman year if i go here?
Freshman year you can either declare a non-engineering major like biology: bioinformatics, or knock out your GE requirements + the 9 prerequisites to transfer into bioengineering
