I have been reading about majoring in economics and how where you went to school is a very important factor in getting a good job right out of college. I am going to the University of Wisconsin Madison next year and i’m wondering if my school’s name will be good enough to get me noticed.

UW’s Econ department is highly ranked and very well respected. You will have plenty of opportunities to challenge yourself. Congratulations on your decision!
